A Great Resolution For 2006.
I read various print and online outlets here and there. Here is something I wanted to mention. For the last two years, I’ve been harping on how important it is for liberty enthusiasts to take the liberty message outside the liberty community. It’s important for household, it’s important for the nation. My new book – Transfer Of Wealth – is about threats to the household, the stronghold of resistance to adversity in America.
Of nearly all of the online news websites I’ve been able to scan in a simple, unscientific poll of my own, I cannot find categories for Liberty, not really many at all.
I do find all sorts of topics, some numbering as many as 70 linkable categories in a single website. These are for articles, written by professional writers, freelance, in-house, syndicated, reprinted, you name it, but no pieces on Liberty. Publications on Liberty are generally devoted to it and carried as special interest.
Of course, I’d begun to notice it over time, and wanted to assess it. Check it out at these two, for instance.

2. http://www.amazines.com/
There are hundreds of sites like these which bring you great material, but don’t have a category for Liberty.
My guess is that it is somehow associated with survivalist thinking and other seemingly extremist concepts most would rather not think about or associate with Americanism and Liberty.
And that’s where the Left has us. And we allow ourselves to be had that way.
Well, I don’t.
And a lot of others in America don’t. This is one of the worst mistakes fellow Americans can make.
Mens News Daily is a fabulous site to learn more about men's rights, family, and news meaningful to us men, including Liberty. I’ve e-mailed other writers with encouragement for their excellent pieces I’ve found here, appreciating the topic I’ve never heard before and their intriguing solutions, also never heard elsewhere. Sound, to the point, and certainly most worthy of being carried outside the community, to my way of thinking.
I don’t expect men's rights to be covered in golf magazines, and I don’t expect to see fathers’ rights covered in repair magazines, but I would expect them in daily general interest publications more.
My real interest is in seeing them regularly.
Conservative position papers are there, and liberal arguments are, too, but Liberty conspicuously absent. They aren’t there. Thus, the Liberty movement winds up writing some of the most intelligent and provocative think pieces, but . . we wind up talking amongst ourselves, essentially.
One of the best resolutions we can make for 2006 is for each of us to bring the Liberty message outside the liberty community.
What is the Liberty message?
Well, that’s the easy part. My column and others hold precisely that in content in every edition. The problem is reaching Americans who shun Liberty and seem to take it for granted. They do not actively support it and see no reason to. The first thing to understand about liberty is that it must be protected daily.
So much political, governmental, commercial, artistic, safety and overall management activity profoundly affects our way of life that it would likely be of interest the moment readers can relate it to their own household.
.. Or relate it to interference with it.
That’s the connection for the head of every household to make.
The Left around the world -- and leftists here -- seek to undermine the American household. By our associating active protection of our households with extremist paranoia, they have us.
And believe me, they want us.
