Folks, Elvis has left the building. So has any sign of sanity in our schools. Between Liberal educators and Liberal psychologists (alright I know that’s somewhat redundant), our children are being turned into whiney, oversensitive, uncompetitive lumps of couch potato whose minds are filled with Leftist mush.

Fox News reports that:

“A Santa Monica elementary school has banned the game of tag, once synonymous with youth and innocence, because they say it creates self-esteem issues among weaker and slower children.

"We had some children who were not playing 'it' appropriately. How do you differentiate between those that are playing correctly and those that aren't?" asked Franklin Elementary School Principal Pat Samarge.

In the school's weekly newsletter, Samarge told parents that without adult supervision, the game would be banned. The principal said children playing tag suffered both physical and emotional injuries.

"Little kids were coming in and saying 'I don't like it.' [The] children weren't feeling good about it," Samarge said.”

Wake up America, think about what these congenital idiots are teaching your kids. Don’t compete, you might hurt someone’s feelings. It’s not fair that some kids are slower than others. If you're gifted, you should feel ashamed of yourself. You don’t have to feel bad. THIS IS INSANITY!

Are these educators just stupid or brain damaged? I fear it is neither, rather I believe that they have been brainwashed by their Leftist Education indoctrination...err..degrees.

It is a basic tenet of Socialist/Communist thought that all people can be made to be equal. It is also one of their most pernicious lies, the lie of human perfectability. As Janice Rogers Brown put it:

"Politically, the belief in human perfectibility is another way of asserting that differences between the few and the many can, over time, be erased. That creed is a critical philosophical proposition underlying the New Deal....Its effect was not simply to repudiate, both philosophically and in legal doctrine, the framers' conception of humanity, but to cut away the very ground on which the Constitution rests."

For decades now we have been assaulted with the cult of equality. We have been told, by those on the Left, that any differences we witness in our own experience are due to inherent biases in upbringing and environment. “There is no difference between men and women,” we are told, “except those caused be how they have been treated in their upbringing.”

For proof, these idiots point to the fact that in early childhood boys and girls show little difference in ability. Excuse me for saying...DUH! Until puberty, there is little differentiation in the sexes...after...well it’s after that makes all the difference...Thank God!

Life is inherently unfair. It is a fact of life, get used to it. Until all human beings are cloned from the same person, that is not going to change.

Genetics is a game of chance. Some people are going to be smart, and some are going to be Liberals...err...dumb (sorry).

Some are going to be artists and some are going to be musicians. Some kids will grow up with minds that naturally handle numbers and mathematics as thought they were born to it (hint: they were), and to some math is going to be an alien language. That’s just the way it is.

And some kids are going to be athletes and some are going to have two left feet. That friends, is the true definition of “diversity.”

Diversity is not some program designed to camouflage or iron out the differences between people, it is a fact of biology which must be understood and accepted. When children are playing tag, they are learning the realities of life.

Only someone profoundly arrogant, or stupid (the two are often synonymous) would try to deny these simple facts. If children don’t learn to understand and deal with those differences at an early age, they are going to be unable to function in the competitive world in which we live.

If you isolate children from the hardships of life, prevent them form meeting these challenges, how are you going to teach them to compete with children of other nations who grow up in a competitive environment?

The Leftist solution is to eliminate competition by instituting noncompetitive standards in our schools and socialist policies in society. One of the most noxious of these has been the old “equal pay for equal work” motto of the women’s movement.

“It’s not fair,” they say, “that a truck driver makes more money that a secretary...umm...administrative assistant” [don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings here]. “Both sit in the same seat for hours at a time, both use their hands to perform their job while seated [or whatever the logic behind the argument is] so they both should be paid the same.”

Don’t ask people to compete on a level playing field. If you’re black then you get twenty extra points on your college admission boards, if you’re Hispanic, make that ten points, and if you’re Asian-Pacific (yes they actually have renamed it to that, don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings) then you lose ten points.

The merit of your work is of secondary importance...after all, the Declaration of Independence says “all men are created equal” (even that doesn’t pass muster, too sexist). For the Left, competition is bad. Excellence is bad. Risk is really bad.

As a result, these “educators” tell us tag is too dangerous and too competitive. Our children might get hurt feelings or -- Gasp! -- scrape a knee or break an arm or wrist (I don’t know where they grew up, but scraped knees and broken bones were a right of passage when I was a kid, I had three or four myself).

So in Spokane's Washington's Adams Elementary School, Principal Mary Weber has banned dodge ball as too aggressive, ropes games (too much liability), and now tag because Principal Weber says the games were just getting too rough.

The really stupid thing is that there are actually parents who would agree with these idiots.

The worst myth promulgated by the Left is that self-esteem can be given to someone. Give the poor money so they don’t feel bad about themselves. Don’t make children compete against each other and they won't feel bad about themselves. Use outcome based education so children don’t feel bad because they are told their answer is incorrect.

Unionize teachers so that these idiots can’t be fired for stupidity or incompetence (notice even that word has compete in it...evil, evil).

As is stated in a previous post, pay everybody the same, don’t let them compete, isolate them from risk and chance, don’t hurt their feelings. What you end up with is a bunch of effete, bloated, mind numbed, parrots who can’t compete academically, intellectually, physically, and economically with the rest of the world, in short, a Socialist Paradise.

Red-rover anyone?
