women will not save marriage. they are too self-centered. Women only think about themselves. That is one reason why, decade after decade, while scorn was heaped on men, and their rights were dismantled, no women were heard anywhere coming to the defense of men.

What is the incentive for men to get married these days?!?! A pretentious, superficial, materialistic, pompous, arrogant, egotistical, shallow and vain wife? A life of potential false accusations, threats, divorce with massive financial losses, not to mention, the loss of children, court time, jail time, lawyer's fees. Marriage for men is now legalized extortion and blackmail for women...and those that help them profit from it.
 

Why wouldn't more men say no to marriage? They don't have a chance once they are in a marital agreement that goes sour. They are soaked for everything they've got not only by the women but the system as well.

I am a woman with 4 sisters who have all had a divorce or two. I have seen how they manipulate the courts in their favor for numerous things: child support, spousal support, disability, welfare. I know that not all of these relate to your article however, I am ashamed to call myself a woman in society today.

I have been married to my husband for 17 years, since him and I were 19. We met when we were 15. Our relationship is a great relationship however in order to achieve that we separated ourselves from our families and focused on our own. What I get for that from my own brothers and sisters and mother???? My husband abuses me. That is simply the only possible answer for them because we never visit. They think I stay away to hide my bruises.

There is NO respect for the sanctitity of marriage anymore. It's really too bad too because it is a great roller coaster ride that I would not trade for anything.
 

Feminists...and the blind masses of silent women (who keep saying:"I'm not a feminist but....")over the last 40 years have damaged marriage. The institution is on life support....and I predict it will be DOA in 2 generations.

I also know of a woman who used the courts and the system....spousal support, disability....

I am a 40 year old male, never married and never want to be. I have seen the pattern to many times. Once the woman gets everything she can out of a marriage she files for divorce. It's a good deal for them and I don't blame them for doing it. Don't be mad at women for playing this game just don't marry them either.

Denis, I won't deny that I have been silent. I have started a journal speaking out here and there about how men are always painted as the bad guys....abuse, bad fathers, kids are better off without them, etc. I am as far from a feminist as I can possible keep myself as they all drive me nuts. I am not a fan of men bashing and have always spoke up on behalf of all men just because it IS my belief that men have gotten the short end of the stick with all the 'women's liberation' bull hooey. it pisses me off that you would be as bitter as this because of women. That you would feel the deep seeded hatred that you obviously feel because of selfish, needy women. I don't often meet a woman that I can get along with simply because they all possess that 'mememememe' quality that I absolutely abhor.

If Marxists viewed Capitalists and Capitalism as the great evil, feminists substituted The Patriarchy and Men as oppressors and their strategic sleight-of-hand was accomplished.

Marxism has long held a certain hostility towards the traditional family,seeing it as "bourgeois"
and a threat to state control.

The radical feminists adopted this Marxist slant on the family, declaring that "marriage is slavery" and "all heterosexual sex is rape..."

Without directly outlawing marriage and families, feminism has accomplished the same goal by creating an extensive legal apparatus that criminalizes men and makes almost any relationship with a female - let alone marriage - a risky invitation to be preyed upon by the DV Industry, the Family Courts, the Sexual Harassment Scam, the Divorce Enterprise, etc.

Every woman who is now desperately questioning why men "won't commit" needs to reflect upon whether she would accept the "all-risk / no-gain" proposition that marriage has become for men today.

And, should her answer be "No way!," then she needs to figure out how she is going to help feminism become a silly historical footnote.
