Kritical Krazy Kowards

Critics
Those who like to throw stones are easily outraged when those very stones rebound and hit them upside the head. Such was the case last week when the people who cavalierly use the R-word had it turned on them. When I say cavalierly, just ask Michael Steele what he thinks of their outrage.…
“BOSTON -- Gov. Mitt Romney was introduced at a Washington luncheon as the head of a state run by the “modern-day KKK ... the Kennedy-Kerry Klan,” drawing rebukes from Democrats and Romney himself.
“The comment was made by Gerald Walpin, a New Yorker who is a board member at the conservative law group the Federalist Society, where Romney spoke Thursday.
“Today when most of the country thinks of who controls Massachusetts, I think the modern-day KKK comes to mind -- the Kennedy-Kerry Klan," Walpin said, according to Keith Appell, a GOP consultant who works for the Federalist Society.”
– Andrew Miga, Associated Press, November 11, 2005
Now while I'm no fan of Mitt Romney, and he later said the comments were "ill-advised" and "It's not appropriate to joke about the Ku Klux Klan," Massachusetts Democrats went off in the predictable manner.
They wouldn't want this to turn into a discussion of the past policies and directives of the self-dubbed “Party of the White Man.” Democrats don't like talking about their past and I don't blame them when it comes to an organization like the Ku Klux Klan which grew out of them.
“State party Chairman Phil Johnston said he was outraged that Romney could find humor in the remarks about Democratic Sens. Edward Kennedy and John Kerry and the Ku Klux Klan.”
Too bad I wasn't there to ask Mr. Johnston how it felt to have it implied someone was a racist without the slightest evidence to back it up, as it’s SOP for Democrats against Republicans. It doesn't feel good, doesn't it?
Now while a good amount of research may find some racist skeletons in the Kennedy family going way back, or in the Kerry/Heinz corporate history, no one was implying that Senators Kennedy and Kerry were hood bearers. But Google the words "Mitt Romney racist" and see all the wonderful, tolerant liberals who toss the R-word around with reckless abandon.
Phil Johnson said, "It is embarrassing that Gov. Mitt Romney would laugh at any joke that disparages Catholics, African-Americans, and Jews.”
Did I miss something or is this a clear case of Johnson trying to attach additional words, in this case select ethnic groups, to the comments?
Like I said, I'm no fan of RINO Romney, but I won't be lectured about hurt feelings and inappropriateness by the very people who didn't say a word when Oreo cookies were being hurled at a United States senatorial candidate along with every racial epithet that came to mind.
Some things never change and we’ll be hearing a lot more from the KKK in the future.
Crazy
Last month, we were graced by the well-researched, eloquent musings of Barbra Streisand. If I may be so bold, I’d like an opportunity to address some of her well thought out points.
“Let us remember that UN weapons inspectors asked for more time to search Iraq for WMDs. And Saddam Hussein had begun to comply with the administration's demands. Why would you invade a country if there was still a chance for peace? Shouldn't war be an absolute last resort? We went to war because we were misled. And we should be angry because of the 2,000 American soldiers and the 200 armed coalition forces that have died. We should be livid because of the 15,000 American soldiers that have been horribly maimed and wounded. We should be disgusted because of the 30,000 innocent Iraqi civilians that have been killed and the 20,000 that are wounded after administration officials claimed that the US was going to liberate the Iraqi people.”
Put your hands on your hips, throw your head back and say “livid!”
Let us remember that the United Nations was bought off (Oil-for-Food scandal). Any conclusions rendered by the United Nations was suspect. Anyone who bought that Saddam had “begun to comply” with any administration’s demands was (and is) a fool.
Ms. Streisand and her faction may also consider it an invasion. Reasonable people consider it liberation. Hopefully the women who were being raped for the Hussein boys’ entertainment feel freer now. I sincerely hope Babs isn’t one of those who feel the Iraqi people were better off before….
As far as her use of addition, addition that was curiously absent when her president Bill Clinton was lobbing cruise missiles into Middle Eastern, African, and Western European neighborhoods, she declines to mention who has been doing the killing since Saddam’s statute was symbolically knocked down.
Funny how these revisionist liberals never seem to have a bad word to say about the animals that are responsible for the 2,000 American soldiers and the 200 armed coalition forces that have died. Never a bad word about al Qaeda who’ve horribly maimed and wounded 15,000 American soldiers. She says we should be disgusted because of the 30,000 innocent Iraqi civilians that have been killed and the 20,000 that are wounded, but makes no mention of the roadside bombs and suicide attacks left and carried out by terrorists.
People like Barbra Streisand get mad when we challenge their patriotism. Considering their arguments tend to mirror al Qaeda’s, perception is everything.
“Impeachment will be difficult. People must understand the power of Congress. When one party controls both the House and the Senate, they control the agenda.”
She must really think the American people are dumb if she actually thought that needed to be said. However, it’s not out of character. Extreme liberals assume they’re the smartest people on the planet, and anyone who has a different point of view is whatever name they’re all reciting at that given moment.
“They control what hearings are held, what legislation gets voted on, whether subpoenas are issued and which investigations can take place. And they control whether impeachment proceedings can be brought.”
Thank God.
“We were clearly deceived by this administration and now we find ourselves fighting a war under false pretenses. There were no WMD's and the CIA had intelligence which corroborated that evidence. …There was no yellow cake purchased from Niger by Iraq as former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, along with our European allies, confirmed.”
I know Ms. Streisand is busy and has probably never read any of my columns, but I’ve posted the quotes of Bill and Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Madeleine Albright, Ted Kennedy, and other prominent Democrats who KNEW Saddam had chemical weapons and was probably developing biological and nuclear weapons. Her champions made some of those quotes a good two years before George W. Bush became president. Obviously, the intelligence seemed good enough for her while Bill Clinton was Commander-In-Chief.
Anyone who believes Joe Wilson is an idiot.
“This President will go down as the worst president in American history. His administration ignored and neglected the threats before 9/11.”
Luckily Barbra Streisand’s opinion doesn’t mean anything outside of her personal staff who’d better say “yes, ma’am” or be fired.
Seeing how the Sudanese government once offered us Osama bin Laden and Bill Clinton passed on the opportunity, one could say he personally ignored and neglected the threats before 9/11.
“His team was not prepared to act and react before, during or after Hurricane Katrina. His policies have contributed to the hastening of global warming, an ever growing national debt, a rise in poverty and an increasing disparity between the rich and the poor. We are watching the middle-class disappear under Bush's leadership. He has taken our economy from the largest surplus in U.S. history to the largest deficit in U.S. history. And he has appointed several people to important positions that are unqualified and loyal to a dangerous fault.”
As if Barbra Streisand never worked for someone who may not be totally qualified to do their job, like Arkansas bouncer Craig Livingstone who was named head of White House security and took the rap for misappropriating 900 FBI files of conservatives. We all have at some point, and hopefully none of these stones will ever be in charge of an emergency situation in a major metropolitan city.
It’s just dumb to blame one person for “global warming”, since I’d find it quite hard to believe that Barbra Streisand won’t set foot in an SUV within the next two weeks (and I only say that because I’m not sure just how many SUV’s she owns). Babs should know about poverty as she probably has more poor people working for her, maintaining her lawns, taking out her trash, cleaning her toilets, and making her bed. Reportedly she only has one black person on her 50-plus personal staff, yet how many times has she called Republicans racists without any hard numbers?
Cowards
Some of us have always said that it took the epitome of cowardice to indoctrinate impressionable young people, teach them how to strap explosives on themselves, and walk into crowded civilian venues, just to detonate that bomb with hopes of a reward of virgins in the land of milk and honey.
Was Osama bin Laden on one of the airliners that crashed into the World Trade Center? Has Iraqi “freedom fighter” Abu Musab al-Zarqawi ever personally walked into a police station or a grocery store or sat in a parked car and detonated a bomb meant to kill as many civilians as possible personally?
No. They recruit those who consider themselves the oppressed because they are Muslim. So now it's time for al Qaeda to go after a hard target; one that will show the world they mean business. A target that will make the world shudder into a group of cowering Spain-like wimps: they want to kill Queen Elizabeth.
According to Reuters, “Al Qaeda's Ayman al-Zawahri has called the Queen "one of the severest enemies of Islam" in a video message after July's deadly bombings in London, the Sunday Times reported. In the 27-minute video, which the Sunday Times said it had obtained, Zawahri targets the Queen as ultimately responsible for Britain's "crusader laws" and calls her an enemy of Muslims.”
Now with all due respect to Mr. al-Zawahri, Queen Elizabeth is 80 years old. Couldn't they have chosen a more resilient target? Al Qaeda proudly blows up women and children, and now they want to kill an old woman with virtually no political power. That shows real bravery....
Maybe that's why people don’t trust Muslims. Whether it be in a France that bent over backwards to oppose the war and are literally getting burned by Muslims for that “insurance policy”, or here in America where they are the only group that gets to pray on company time. People are growing more and more intolerant to Muslim demands. Killing an old woman will garner them no brownie points.
The M5 would love an opportunity to pick off a few al Qaedas trying some funny business. They may have gotten away with killing hundreds of women and children, but people get a little crazy when you mess with their Mum.
