HOW CAN CLINTON PRAISE SEX THIS-R-THAT?

J. Grant Swank, Jr.

The former US President who will long be known for his lust unbridled now gives praise to a nation that has cut through its HIV surge.

May I sincerely ask why the globe needs feedback on this sex matter from one of the most immoral leaders the planet has ever had to stomach?

Is this irony or what? For "or what?" it just might be his way of approaching the confessional. Or could it be an old-fashioned Southern Baptist urge to seek the mourner’s bench?

Who would know, considering the complicated psyche dealt with? On the other hand, it’s not so complicated when considering that the Clinton psyche is triggered by libido maximum.

Therefore, I had to wince when reading today about former US president William Clinton giving applause to India’s curb on HIV / AIDs increase. It was quite the fit or misfit, depending on how one concluded the press read. But I just had to stop to ponder how history dishes up for us common folk some of the most outlandish configurations. This has to be one of them.

So the AP reporter Rajesh Mahapatra states from New Delhi that "Clinton on Thursday praised India's battle against AIDS after new government figures showed a sharp decline in the number of new HIV cases in the country. The former president called the results encouraging but cautioned that India could not become complacent.

"’I think your government is committed to doing the right thing,’ he said in a speech to a group of business leaders."

The right thing? What does a Clinton truly know about "the right thing"? Common on, sensible, moral people.

"’You will move from being the world's number one worry to being the number one model if you follow through the plans you have,’ Clinton said."
