It’s a New World Now

With the inauguration of Barack Obama as 44th President, we usher in a brand new Era of Responsibility.  We're all glad to know that.  And who could doubt it since we've had it confirmed to us by the new Prez himself and a multitude of news and opinion outlets?

I, for one, have great expectations for the new Era.  Who doesn't eagerly anticipate Wall Street tycoons coming forward to repay huge sums bilked from investors and taxpayers with the confession "I did wrong?"  I can hear the heartfelt mea culpas of Bush administration officials now for a wide range of blunders and lies.

Or, for example, Casey Anthony, who is accused of murdering her two-year-old daughter Caylee (pictured) and partying down afterward, will stop referring to herself as a victim in the sordid affair.  (I'm not making that up.  Read about it here. (Fox News, 1/17/09))  She'll take responsibility for whatever part she played in the child's death including explaining why it took her a month to inform authorities that the child was "missing."  She'll say "I'm sorry.  I did wrong."  I look forward to that.

Hey, it's a brand new world.

Thanks to Offended Dad for the heads-up on.
