At present in the UK 75% of all divorces are called for by wives. “The Emperor’s New Clothes” survey of divorce men found that a man pays £29,306 to his lawyers and transfers £57,966 to his wife of which she then pays £20,000 to her lawyers. Thus lawyers benefit by £49,306 on average per divorce.
The average chap of course isn’t some high salaried and bonus up the arse ‘broker’ or ‘financial whiz’ who has managed to swindle thousands of people, so their meagre wealth accounts for the modest losses. His wife isn’t the high maintenance toxic bimbo described here. Just a wannabee.
But that apart, look who gains. Look. Who gets the benefit of all this misery. Who does the persuading. Men all over, no matter their status are dispossessed and their meagre wealth transerred to the greedy and deep pockets of the friggin’ lawyers.
“When the money stops coming in the door, the love goes right out the window,” was taught to my grandmother by her mother — the expression is that old.
I suggest that all the gents who’ve been bragging in comments left all over the MND site that their wife won’t leave them brace themselves for a very nasty wife-takes-all divorce, this goes double for any of said gents who have high incomes or high net worth.
As usual, the women’s behavior was not characterized as “domestic violence” or even as “spousal abuse”.
