Prosecutorial criminality: Fake scent-tracking dog sends man to prison for 26 years
It appears that one or more career-minded Florida prosecutors used a fake scent-tracking dog to secure convenient criminal convictions, secretly giving case evidence to the dog’s owner so he could lead the dog along the desired path prosecutors invented to secure convictions.
In this case, a man spent 26 years in prison for a murder he did not commit.
Prosecutors who generate evidence using plainly-fraudulent methods are criminal dangers to society and must be locked up longer than Bernie Madoff.

We need to do away with prosecution immunity for Police and judicial components. No one should be above the law and everyone needs to be accountable for their actions.
I must disagree with the final line of the article:
" Prosecutors who generate evidence using plainly-fraudulent methods are criminal dangers to society and must be locked up longer than Bernie Madoff. "
No, they must not be locked up at all – they must be executed in the public square, preferably in "cruel and unusual" methods. They have specifically denied the Constitution; let them pay the price by foregoing its normal protections. We are talking effective Pre-Meditated Murder, after all. This isn't some bogus traffic stop that got a $1,000 ticket for not having documentation you had given the officer…
Let the punishment fit the crime, and let the punishment be KNOWN.
From the "You Can't Make This Shit Up" File… astounding as it is that those in the crminal justice system would send and innocent man to jail, it is unconscionable that so many would collaborate to do so.
My opinion? Let every man involved in this despicable travesty of Justice serve 26 years… each.
Leaving financial compensation for Mr Dillon out of the equation altogether ( come one people… what dollar figure do you attach to sending an innocent man to live in a cage for 26 years), when… WHEN… are we going to take Wrongful COnvictions serious enough to assign meaningful criminal sanctions against False Accusers and Malicious Prosecutors?

Much as I would like to see a 'cruel and unusual' punishment (in my darker moments) I would settle for a simple beheading in the town square, televised for those who can't attend.
But Gunner has the day. Take 50 cases of falsely obtained conviction (there are at least that many); aggregate the sentences served and divide by 40 and set that as the minimum term. And make them take the Law exams every damned year and give them a sound whipping every anniversary.
Oh, and make them sit on top of a crane in bad weather for three weeks at a time every six months with a 'Justice for Fathers' sign around their necks, to save a decent F4J chap having to do it.
