Campaign asks for international treaty to limit war robots

A robotics expert, a physicist, a bioethicist and a philosopher have founded the International Committee for Robot Arms Control (ICRAC) to campaign for limits on robotic military hardware.

    The picture on this story is of the Predator, an aircraft controlled by human pilots, just by remote control. Therefore, your television is almost as much a robot as the Predator. Thanks for alerting us about the story, it was informative, but I wouldn’t mind if a source of science was a little more accurate.
    (I tried to comment at newscientist, but apparently my computer’s anti-virus program won’t let me. Oh, well. In case my comment does show up there, I thought comparing the Predator to a couch was funnier, but it isn’t accurate, which is why I wanted to comment there and here in the first place.)
