EU Constitution Now In Force

Most of you probably know that the proposed EU Constitution was defeated by several public referenda. If you were paying close attention, you might have known that the Brussels bureaucrats didn’t give up. The constitution was changed to a treaty so that it could more easily be passed without public consent. Now known as the Lisbon Treaty, it has been adopted (in various forms with special exceptions of each member state) by all member states and has become the law of Europe.

    Europe is now an empire. Democracy and national soverignty are on the way out. And what for? What was gained? Nothing.
